Getting Kinky in the Kitchen Over Christmas

Woman in white bra and knickers on her back

This Christmas, it’s time to try something new. You may have always thought/fantasised about using food in the bedroom, but never quite got around to trying it. Well, what better time to introduce the idea of food and foreplay than at Christmas, right? It’s an easy conversation starter and getting hot and heavy while the oven’s on is bound to make both of you orgasm.
Bringing it up…

So, squirting whipped cream on your girl while she’s undressing probably isn’t going to go down well. Instead, cook dinner for you partner using foods that are considered an aphrodisiac – think oysters, avocados, chilli, and artichokes. Author and dating coach, Laurel House suggests adding a playful element to spark her interest; “Blindfold her and feed her each flavor, making her guess the food,” she says. Once she’s tried everything, suggest that you could have dessert in the bedroom – whipped cream, chocolate, and honey can be drizzled on and licked off with ease. Your sheets might get destroyed, but it is likely that you and your partner will end up licking areas of each other you’ve never ventured onto, or into, before. Yum.

Safety First

As a general rule; avoid using nuts in food-play. You and your partner may not be allergic to them when you eat them, but some will have a different reactions to foods when they’re placed on the body. Also, if you’ve prepared dinner that evening and/or decide to get it on in the kitchen; make sure you’ve washed your hands and that any spicy foods are put away, otherwise you may discover a whole new meaning for the term ‘spicing things up’.

This is less safety advice and more of a helpful hint: baby wipes are a great investment that will keep the area and your bodies as neat as possible. They come in especially handy if you’ve decided to introduce some sticky foods – the last thing you want is to literally be stuck to your girl and have to rip all the hair off your chest in order to get up.

It’s All About Getting Creative

When it comes to your selection of dishes this Christmas, don’t be afraid to get a little creative and incorporate some festive treats. Dr. Kat Van Kirk, sexologist and relationship expert suggests to go slowly through the courses and decide what food might work best for your food-play. Here are some of our favourites; mashed potatoes (use similarly to whipped cream), cranberry sauce (a sexy sweet treat), and brandy cream (not just for mince pies!). If you want to get kinky, why not use a corn-on-the-cob, or carrot, and rub over her clit for extra stimulation. The key here is to get creative, experiment, and have some fun. Can you think of a better way to use your leftovers?!

What About Getting It On In The Kitchen?

Getting it on in the kitchen is super sexy, but use your common sense. Accidents do happen; so put away any knives, pots and pans that could fall off the top shelf, and spicy foods. What happens next is up to you! We recommend experimenting with a little food on the kitchen floor first, or a large surface that can hold both of your weight – like a sturdy table or kitchen counter. If you’re feeling a little kinky, why not push her up against the sink and do it from behind? Once you’re finished, the best part might just be the shower that you take…together.

There are plenty of foods that can enhance the sexual mood, and not just the obvious aphrodisiacs. Be creative and try foods that can be used in conjunction with sexual play, or even as preludes to it. Have a Merry Christmas guys!
