The A-Z of Kinky Part One!

The internet has already opened us up to the crazy world of fetishes, but with new crazes developing regularly, we thought we’d compile an A-Z of the most common kinks out there. Whether you’re looking to expand your sexual knowledge, or your sexual repertoire, this list will give you a few tips and ideas to start you off. Happy browsing!

A: Anilingus

Anal sex is becoming less of a taboo and more of a bedroom staple. So, too, is anilingus (or as it’s more commonly known, rimming); the art of using ones mouth and/or tongue to stimulate the anus. There are plenty of guides out there for those who fancy having a go – Playboy, Cosmopolitan and even we at Kinky.co.uk have covered the activity in length.

B: Breathe Play

Breathe play, autoerotic asphyxia, sexual hanging….these are all terms to describe the practice of inducing cerebral hypoxia, while masturbating to orgasm. Most link this kink with INXS’s frontman, Michael Hutchence, whose death was a due to this sexual practice. In fact, 31% of all adolescent hanging deaths within the past 10 years have been connected to breathe play.

Despite the dangers, this is still popular among young men. We recommend that for those who want to try breathe play – make sure someone is nearby in case things go wrong. The reduced blood flow can cause weakness and drowsiness, hampering the ability to release oneself afterwards. It’s better to be safe than, well, dead.

C: Camming

Camming is a relatively new craze, which involves both girls and boys performing real-time sex acts on the internet. Anyone with a webcam or a standard camera and decent bandwidth can offer this service, and, not-so-surprisingly, thousands of people are willing to pay to see it. According to Redtubelive.com, their site attracts more than 7 million visitors a month.

Couples can also try camming as a form of role-play or domination (this is great for couples who are long distance). One plays the role of the ‘buyer’, who commands the other to do what they want, angle them how they want them, and get them to say what they want to hear. It’s fun, naughty, and will definitely spice things up.

D: Domination

Domination – everyone has heard of it, but how many of you have tried it? It’s more than just putting on a leather catsuit and spanking your partner; it’s about staying in control while your other half feels vulnerable (but still safe and excited). There are many different ways to dominate in the bedroom, and with numerous guides available online it’s worth browsing through them and discussing what you and your partner want from the experience.

E: Exhibitionism

This is one of the riskiest kinks to explore, and shouldn’t be tried in public; it could end with a hefty fine, or conviction. Instead, why not explore the nudist beaches, or try having sex outdoors (or inside with the blinds slightly ajar) where there is still a (slight) chance of getting caught. And remember, exhibitionism doesn’t always have to include nudity!

F: Fleshlights

Fleshlights have quickly become one of the most popular male masturbation toys on the market. Aimed at both heterosexuals and homosexuals, Fleshlights are realistic, hygienic and discreet masturbation sleeves. Furthermore, Fleshlights have created their own porn-line, with products cast from the vagina or anus of popular porn stars. So there’s something for everyone!

G: Golden Showers

Many of you may remember the Sex and the City episode where Carrie deliberates over whether to let her lover pee on her….well it’s an actual kink that many enjoy (including Ricky Martin). Of course, this isn’t for everyone and is something that you and your partner need to discuss. However, if it’s something that ticks the right boxes for you both then we recommend trying it in the shower first – there’ll be less mess to deal with afterwards!!
