The Thrill Of Anal Beads!

Anal beads are a great way to experience anal sex slowly and gently. Anal penetration for the first time can be a nerve-racking and uncomfortable experience, so experimenting with toys such as anal beads are a good way of easing your way into it. With over a third of Westerners having tried it, anal penetration is a kink that is becoming more popular than ever in the bedroom. Whether playing alone, or with your partner – here’s a few things to consider.

Plenty of Choice

Anal beads are easier to use than many of the other anal toys on the market. So for those who are trying anal play for the first time, beads are a great place to start. Generally, the beads are graduated in size allowing you to take as much or as little as you like. Most are smooth, spheres that are made of plastic, metal or silicone. Some are made from glass or wood; I recommend avoiding these are there’s a chance of the glass breaking or the wood splintering in the anus.

When choosing the right beads, there are a few things to keep in mind. Beginners will want to start off with a set of flexible beads – the flexibility will allow you to stimulate various parts inside you until you find your pleasure points. Before buying, make sure the beads are well made and that there’s no risk of the cord breaking inside you. The best anal beads will have a strong, thick loop or wide handle, to ensure that they remain partly outside the body at all times. However, some prefer the look and feel of anal beads without this. Although I recommend starting off with beads with a handle, if you opt for one without, make sure you leave at least three beads outside of your body at all times. This should prevent an unpleasant trip to A&E.

Hygiene is key

Sex can be messy, and even more-so when it comes to anal sex. In fact, according to a recent survey it’s the mess that puts most off from trying it. There are simply steps to take which will ensure that your experience is clean, safe and fun. Before any anal play; make sure you use the toilet in advance (at least 30 minutes beforehand) and wash the area around the anus thoroughly.
By and large, faeces is not stored where a penis, tongue or sex toy can. However, for those wanting to be squeaky clean, using an enema or douche will help release any build up further up. This is not needed, and is more of a personal preference than a hygiene essential.

As with all toys, wash your beads thoroughly and store them after use. If you and your partner decide to share toys during a hot and heavy session; wash between uses. This reduces the risk of infections and other nasty surprises.

Don’t forget the lube!

Since the anus and rectum are not self-lubricating, lube will make the experience more comfortable and pleasurable. There are plenty of anal lubes available which have a greater viscosity than the standard water based versions. I recommend avoiding oil based lubes, as they can leave a coating on the rectum that can lead to a bacterial infection. Coat the length of the balls and the area around your anus with lube, and then you’re ready to go.

Play-time

Start by pushing just the first bead or two inside you and getting used to the sensation of anal penetration. When you feel comfortable and ready, insert one at a time. Use one hand to gently push the beads in and the other hand to keep your anus spread. Depending on the sensitivity, you may orgasm as you continue penetration. However, for added sensations, try pulling the beads out at the point of orgasm.

If you’re using beads on your partner, take it slowly and listen to her moans and groans. Stimulating other areas, such as her thighs and lower back will heighten her arousal and could provide a welcome break from the penetration. Once your partner is comfortable, try using the beads during vaginal penetration for a kinky twist. The feeling of increased pressure at the anus will intensify her arousal and will feel incredible. Insert the beads during foreplay, and at the point of orgasm remove them – the combination of the beads being pulled out and the anus contracting during orgasm will enhance the power.

Once you’ve experimented with anal beads, it opens up to potential to move on to some other anal toys available here at Kinky.ie. There are plenty of toys to spice up your anal play, from dildo’s to butt plugs. For those who enjoy anal beads, but want to take it up a notch; vibrating anal beads are perfect. The vibrations create sensations similar to rimming, and some come with a multitude of speeds and pulses – so there’s something for everyone!
